Cafe+Play is our go-to spot for playdates. Our little guy (and most of his friends) have special needs, and the environment here allows them space to play and be silly, while also allowing room to regulate and stim in safety if needed. Plus, the coffee is delicious! Some kid-friendly places add coffee as a gimmick and don't know what they are doing, but Cafe+Play actually makes wonderful coffee AND has a sensory friendly play area. I would stop in here just for the coffee. Would highly recommend for kid birthday party too! The price is reasonable, the coffee bar is open, and the scheduling and logistics are super easy. The owner, Allison, is absolutely wonderful! Great for kiddos who can get overwhelmed since the party package includes rental of the whole space - no need to chase your littles around a packed park.

I took my daughter, Tara, to Cafe and Play today, and we both had such a great time. Tara loved the play area and stayed busy the whole visit, which gave me a chance to actually sit back and enjoy a coffee for once! Jordan and Mya were the baristas working, and they were both so friendly and welcoming. They made the whole place feel warm and inviting and provided genuinely great customer service. The coffee was amazing, too. I ordered the S'mores Cold Brew, and wow—it was so good. Definitely one of my favorite coffee drinks I've had in a long time. We'll definitely be coming back. It's such a great spot for parents and kids, and the staff and coffee make it even better! ❤️☕⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our kids invited us with them to this place. Wow! What a concept! The coffee was delicious! The pastries were good. The atmosphere was super cool. The play area was very clean and was all around amazing! We can't wait to go again!

Is a really fun & cute spot. Will definitely bring the kiddos back again, seems like a great place to meet friends while the kids play & enjoy some coffee or have a baby shower or birthday party. Everything felt clean & well taken care of. Dirty Chai & Almond Crossiant was pretty good. The mothers room was very cozy with the comfiest rocking chairs. The only thing I was disappointed with was the craft room, it wasn't stocked &/or just didn't have any good options, good idea but hopefully it can be better in the future. Parking wasn't the easiest either.

Such a great place to let the kids play. I love that there is seating inside the play area for parents to sit and watch. The coffee was amazing. One of the best lattes I’ve had in a long time. Okay area was clean and well kept. Prices were very fair

The cutest cafe! Brought my 9 month old (free to play for under 1), and he loved scooting around all the different areas! Everything was so clean, with so many different options for kids to do! The mom’s room is so cozy, perfect place to feed and rock your little one! And for the drinks!! Omg they were amazing! I got the flight and it was 👌🏼🤌🏼 chefs kiss! Great job Allison for creating a space for people to gather and connect!!

My daughter and I love Cafe + Play! It’s so welcoming and inviting and has such a great playa area and mother’s room! We love going and if you are in the fence of trying it out, please do! Your littles and yourself will thank you for it! Plus they also have some breakfast food which was absolutely delicious!! 🤤

Cafe & Play is our FAVORITE! We go there at least once a week and it’s truly a highlight of our week. The food and drinks are some of the best in all of the coffee shops I’ve been to in Boise. Since my husband and I work remote, we love coming to switch off playing with our baby during breaks. We are so impressed with how clean and sanitized everything is (we even see them clean after a session!). The mother’s lounge is one of my favorites because I can nurse and rock my baby to sleep for a quick nap if needed. Allison and her team and so personable and welcoming everytime we come 🙂

One of my favorite coffee shops ever! The staff are super sweet and my coffee is always delicious! I would recommend this cafe if your looking for a new favorite coffee spot!☺️

Nice place for toddlers to play and hang out with other kids and for parents to connect. We had a nice time for a first time. And l support small businesses. I took a star off because l didn’t receive a receipt for my order and the pricing for the play was not mentioned clearly. Also, the chocolate croissant even reheated tasted old unfortunately. I would suggest homemade desserts or using a real baker to match the elevated vibe the place is going for. And maybe have the staff let us know to wait for our drink before heading to the play area or have a better system to know that our drink is ready before it starts to cool off. Clean space. Nice diaper changing and nursing room. Sensory bins were not reloaded except one of 4 (disappointing) I would give another chance one day

Such an amazing coffee shop. They serve great coffee, yummy pastries, and family friendly. They have a play spot for kids but this spot is not just for families. You can grab your coffee on your way to work or on a coffee break. Worth checking out.

The owner Allison was so welcoming. She created the coziest, cleanest, most inclusive space with Cafe + Play. Not to mention, I haven’t stopped thinking about the exceptionally delicious coffee or Nutella croissant I had. I was most surprised about the cozy and convenient lactation room with a changing table, rocking chairs and couch, and sound machine. Everything about my experience was top notch and I will most definitely be back.

Cafe Rules

AGES 0-5 ONLY

Our play area is designed exclusively for children ages O through 5. We do offer free access to our art room for older siblings with a paid play pass.

GRIP SOCKS FOR WALKING CHILDREN
+ REGULAR SOCKS FOR ADULTS ARE REQUIRED

All children who are walking must wear grip socks while in the play area. All adults entering the play space must wear socks to help us keep the area clean and sanitary. Available for purchase at the cafe!

WAIVER & PLAY PASS REQUIRED

Every child must have a completed waiver on file and be checked in with a play pass before enjoying the play space.

GUARDIAN SUPERVISION

Children must be actively supervised by their parent or guardian at all times. Cafe + Play is not a daycare, and our team does not provide childcare or supervision.

PLEASE STAY HOME WHEN SICK

For the health of our community, please do not visit the play space if you or your child are experiencing symptoms of illness.

Hi, I'm Allison! I'm a Mom to my two boys - August and Hayes. I've been married to my incredibly supportive husband, Alec, for six years. Together, were embracing the adventure of pursuing my dream of opening a play cafe.

We empower parents who are in search of an inviting family-friendly space to unwind and connect with their children and the community outside of their homes.

Through a distinctive mix of exceptional coffee, a vibrant atmosphere, and steadfast hospitality, we reimagine the coffee shop experience, offering families a comforting and safe retreat to bond, create lasting memories, and enjoy moments together
